Spain's PVH launches new terrain-adaptive photovoltaic tracking system

Spain's PVH launches new terrain-adaptive photovoltaic tracking system

2025-08-18

Spanish photovoltaic tracker manufacturer PV Hardware (PVH) announced that its AxoneDuo Infinity tracker has added a new terrain-adaptive feature, allowing for up to a 2° elevation difference between stake positions, improving feasibility and cost competitiveness on sloping, uneven, and rocky sites.

This solution is particularly suitable for ecologically sensitive areas, agri-photovoltaic hybrid projects, and areas with strict environmental approval requirements. The company stated in a statement: "With the increasing scarcity of developable flat land, particularly in high-potential states such as California, Texas, and the Midwest, developers need smarter solutions to meet growing energy demand without increasing environmental burdens or construction costs."

A PVH spokesperson stated that this terrain-adaptive tracker, based on the company's flagship dual-row AxoneDuo Infinity product, has been launched in the US market and deployed globally.

According to the company, the system's 2° slope tolerance exceeds the industry standard of 1.5° to 1.75°. It also reduces stake lengths (to as little as 0.7 meters), reduces stake depths, and reduces the workload of civil engineering projects such as site leveling.

The AxoneDuo Infinity also features module compatibility, supporting single- and dual-row layouts, and can be adapted to string configurations such as 1-2-3-4 or 2+2 to 3+3. It arrives pre-assembled and offers 75° hail protection.

The manufacturer claims these features can reduce installation time by over 40% and reduce material and labor costs.

The tracker is available globally through PVH's operations centers in Houston, Spain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Australia, South Africa, Mexico City, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and India.
